About Bible-In-A-Year

Bible In A Year logoThe Bible is a wonderful roadmap that helps us make sense of life. It has been referrred to as being more up to date than tomorrow’s newspaper. One thing for certain is that we are required to read the Bible with our eyes and ears open to God but also to the needs and the problems of our world.
Christians down through the centuries have treasured this collection of writings and have proved its directions to be true throughout the struggles and trials of everyday life. The apostle Paul once said that, “all scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in godly living” (2 Tim 3: 16,17).
We wish you great joy and excitement as we all seek to accomplish the task of reading the Bible in one year. Above all, it is not the reading that is important it is the putting the teaching into practice.
We wish you all well as you take up this challenge.

Reading Tips

To get the best out of your reading, find a quiet place where you will not be distracted. Always start with a prayer. You could pray something like this,
"Lord open my eyes that I might see and understand the great mysteries and truths of your Word."

Bible Study group

For two months beginning on Thursday Sept 7th we'll be having our Bible Study time at the manse: using our reading plan as its foundation.

Do feel free and most welcome to come along. There's no commitment to regular attendance: just come when you can, or even just the once!
