Deacons' Court

What is a Deacon?
Look at Acts 6 : 1 -7
A Deacon’s Role is to take the stress of church organisation out of the hands of the minister and elders and allow them to carry out the role of preaching and teaching the Word of God. Deacons need to work closely with the Kirk Session to help them make the spiritual goals of the Church a reality. Deacons may also be pro-active in taking the Kirk Session forward in their thinking.
