Guiding does not just stop in Bo’ness and by being a member of 1st Bo’ness Guides you will open a wide range of opportunities. One Guide member from Bo’ness was fortunate to be picked to travel to Holland to represent Scotland as a member of Girlguidng back in 2006. Also Becky and Lynne (District Commissioner) have travelled to Mexico, Switzerland and London to stay in the World Guide Centres and have met a lot of new friends by being part of Girlguiding. Another member of Girlguidng for Forth Valley County was picked to represent Scotland for a Ghana Project trip working within a community for 6 weeks helping them to build a school. And this year a member from another district has been picked to go to a camp in Austria. There are also opportunities to sit on the Youth Council, take part in musical activities and much, much more!!
