Supporting ‘Penumbra’

Image

After the service of Carols and Lessons on Sunday 29th December, I invited people to take a copy of the 'Bethlehem Herald' home. It was free of charge but if anyone wished to make a donation I would forward them to Penumbra, a Scottish Mental Health Charity. I am supporting this charity as it had sought to help my nephew, Douglas, who tragically committed suicide three weeks before Christmas. I am humbled and truly appreciative of an unbelievable response which is such that I am passing over £120 to the charity. Can I thank you even more for the care and concern that the money represents. My sister Kathleen mourning her son has asked me to express her thanks also and assures you that she feels very supported by such kindness from people who didn't know Douglas.
