2nd Bo’ness Boys Brigade - Junior Section
The core age range of Juniors Section is from 8 to 11 years, usually starting in the school year following their 8th birthday.
This age group has its own programme called Juniors based on five areas; body, mind, spirit, community and creativity. The programme provides challenges, adventure and opportunities to learn and grow. The fun and engaging programme enables the children to work in a team and take more responsibility. Juniors also get the opportunity to go on camps and residential trips, and for some this will be their first night away from home. Throughout their time in the Juniors Section, children can gain badges and recognition for their participation in the programme.
Children in the Junior Section wear a core uniform of a blue polo shirt and royal blue sweatshirt. On some occasions members will wear school trousers and footwear as part of the uniform, but check with your local group.
Safe & caring
All our adult volunteers undertake a disclosure (criminal records) check as part of their registration with The Boys’ Brigade, and are trained to provide a safe and caring environment for all children.
What it costs
Most groups charge a subscription which may be collected weekly, termly or annually and will usually be around £1-£2 per week. This said, we don’t want any child to miss out because of cost, so if you have any concerns about finance please speak to a leader in the local group in confidence about this.
How do I join?
2nd Bo’ness BB Junior Section The Junior Section has 15 Boys attending regularly on Monday Evenings. We could do with some adult help on a Monday Evening, so if you feel you could help in any way, please contact the captain, Neil MacLennan. The Junior Section meets each Monday Evening. All former members and new boys will be made most welcome.
